Welcome to Mortal Kombat: The Hostile Takerover. We are a text based roleplay game loosely based on Mortal Kombat and was created in June 2009.

To join the game all you need to do is choose a character from the vacant list and register, then post your application. We will accept created fighters too. This board was created to be a place where even non-MK roleplay fans could come and instead of being restricted, allow their creativity to flow in a world where almost anything is possible. Those who know MK will be aware it is the concept of 'reality' being split into several 'realms' or dimensions. Each realm is very different and is home to various fighters, demons and Gods. You can find out more about all the realms in our realm section.

So what is the general concept of the game? Storywise, a demonic forced dubbed as "darker than evil itself" has been rumoured to have been created in a hidden realm. Rumour says this demonic force is building an army to storm every realm and undertake a HOSTILE TAKEOVER. "It" vows it shall destroy any being that tries to stand in it's way. Your character needs to choose whether to pledge alleigance to this force or fight it. This is the basic backstory, but you can also create your own "side stories". Meet allies, make enemies and of course... FIGHT!
